The BSF Course has been designed specifically for Cruse volunteers, to equip them with the awareness, skills and knowledge to offer the range of services that Cruse provides. Anyone wishing to volunteer with Cruse to work with clients must undertake this course. We also welcome applications from professionals from other organisations who feel they may benefit from this training.
The course will take the form of three core Foundation days for all new Bereavement Volunteers, followed by an elective, dedicated to one of the five services:
· face-to-face (2 days)
· ongoing telephone support (2 days)
· email support (2 days)
· group support (3 days)
· Children & Young People (CYP) support (4 days)

Our Loss and Bereavement Awareness workshop is designed for anyone encountering bereaved people in their professional lives. These are helpful for anyone who wants to understand the issues surrounding bereavement and how to communicate with clients and customers after someone close to them has died. These training days are interactive and informative and provide an opportunity to have your questions about this taboo subject answered.
The next local workshop will take place in Bristol on 21st March 2019.
